Mental strength is not the ability to stay out of the darkness, it's the ability to sit present in the darkness knowing the light will shine again

OUR VISION
The metaphor of Midnight Sun is based on the northern most places in our world. Most of the year, these places are barren. They are cold and few things grow and survive there. However, every summer, the midnight sun allows this desolate place to come to life.
In this time, the landscape of the north is changed to include plants, animals, and a flurry of life. The midnight sun, a sun that does not set, allows this remarkable transformation to take place. It is a small miracle that happens every year allowing this tough environment to flourish and grow.
Similarly, when folks are depressed, anxious, experiencing trauma, struggling with their self-worth, and so on, it can feel like a barren place. They are living in the winter months. The premise of MSPWC is to, together, bring in the transformative light, but also learn to live in and through the dark times.
